Lest we forget. Letter of remembrence.

Date: September 14 1918
World War 1
Germany
Dear my most beautiful light.

Hey ma I have been thinking about you when ever I feel scared, when my soul goes into the darkness I think of you, and you pull me back into the light, ma I love you and I will never forget you, I think my time is near, the front line smells of decay and blood the ground is soaked in a sea of red. Everywhere I step there's a limb or a body, sometimes ma I find someone moaning in pain and I have to decide if he can make it or if I have to put him out of his pain, it brings tears to my eyes to see them there in agony helpless, after I make my decision I go back to the trench and every step I make there's that squishy sound that makes me want to scream because it makes me remember all those that have died for their country. My body is covered in the blood of my commander and my own, ma I got shot in the shoulder blade, the doc says I might make it but I can hear the uncertainty in his voice. Every day is a gloomy day, I wake up to the chourus of moaning men.

Sincerly your greatest son,

Kamble, Haris Arther

Tyler,

You have really put yourself in the shoes of a young soldier clinging to life. Your letter is quite heartbreaking. Can you add a date and location to this so your reader knows which war and which battle your narrator is taking part in?

Thanks,
Miss P

Hi Tyler,

Very touching and discriptive letter!
The whole letter can't be only two sentences. It would be great to go back and check your puncuation!
